Love

Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy.
That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business.
What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

Current mood: amused
So this week (and last), Owen has been out of school during the two week holiday Cherokee County schools are taking. Since Todd and I have had to work, we've sent him back to the preschool where he went up through pre-Kindergarten last year and where Chloe still attends. Tonight, during bedtime...Todd found out what Owen (our beloved 6 year old) has learned from the 4 year olds at preschool....

Todd was being silly with Owen and said "Wouldn't it be funny if your mouth was up here (pointing to his forehead) and your eyes were down here (pointing to his chin)? Then you might drip milk into your eyes when eating your cereal!" And they laugh.

Then Owen says, "Daddy, wouldn't it be funny if your nuts were up here (pointing to his forehead)?"

Todd lost it. Owen asked him what was so funny, but Todd could barely breathe. Then Owen asked "Daddy, do you know what nuts are? They're your tenders (a wonderful term he learned from watching Kung Fu Panda)."

Wow. They learn so young
