We had to arrive 30 minutes before the game so he could warm up with his team.
The game before ours ended, so warm-up came to an end and we headed over to our dugout.
Owen was excited to be the starting batter of the game.
He had to wait for the umpire to clean off home plate.
He swung and hit the second pitch before taking off fast for first base.
The next boy up helped Owen get to second base.
As he was running to third, his coach was already waving him home.
Go Owen, go!
Run fast, Owensk!
Yes, that's a fist pump you see after he scored his first run on his first at bat.
There's our start baseball player :)
Todd stayed close to the dugout throughout the game to help keep the boys in line while they waited their turn at bat. Chloe would occasionally keep him company and get kisses.
On Owen's second at bat, he hit the ball and slid into first base safe.
He's stealing third base.
And then made it home.
Safe.
Way to score two runs in your very first baseball game, Owen!
Team wrap-up, congratulating the players on everything they did right. Chloe is hanging close in the hopes she will get included in the team snack.
