Love

Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy.
That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business.
What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can.

Decking the Halls (at the Grandmas)

We drove over to Grandma Suzanney's and Grandma Eloise's this afternoon to help bring all the Christmas decorations down out of the attic and put the tree together.  But bubbles were more fun.

Todd and I took off to finish up a little last minute Christmas shopping for the kids while they stayed at the Grandmas to decorate the tree and play in the backyard.  When we got back, all the ornaments were up.  I love that old Santa.

Look close and you can see me kneeling on the floor next to an owl.  :)

Ooooh, bangs and many, many years ago.

Hi Owen!

Chloe found a few more ornaments to hang up on the tree.

After a delicious spaghetti dinner, the kids played Twister while a grandma spun the spinner and called out the moves.

Someone got a little stretched out.

I love Grandma Suzanney's nativity scene!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Suzanney!

We're so glad you waited a day to celebrate your birthday with us so we could have more people singing around the table after dinner!

And so glad we could get some multi-generational photos in, too!

Thank you honeys for playing photographer so I could get in a couple of shots!

We had sugar-free ice cream for Grandma's birthday dessert.  It was delicious!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Suzanney!  We love you!!!

Fun Start to the Weekend

This morning, we took Dylan to the dog park.  He had fun playing with other dogs and really perked up around two other Great Pyrs who were also at the park.

Grandma Suzanney shared her sugar-free candy before Owen's baseball game.

Chloe tried to share it back.

She was quite amused by herself.

Apparently she amused Grandma Suzanney pretty good, too.  :)

We sat on the other side of the field for this game and had the sun in our eyes the whole time.  The Grandmas had a good umbrella for blocking that!

Happy 7th Birthday, Chloe - evening celebration

The Grandmas came over for Chloe's birthday and brought cards and presents.

She read them out loud to her Grandma Suzanney.

Think she was excited about more cash?

And more clothes!

Silly girl.  It was Owen who suggested she put the new leggings on her head.

She had fun dancing for us with her new long hair.

Looks like she's thinking hard over her wish.

Make it a good wish, Chloe.

Whatever it was that you wished for, I hope you got it Beanarina.

Happy 7th birthday big girl.  We love you so much!

Happy Birthday, Todd!!!

Another birthday and Todd was surrounded by family, including his Mom which is a rare treat for birthday celebrations.

The Grandmas were over to help celebrate, too.

Somebody did not go out shopping for candles prior to the birthday dinner, so we used a big candle instead.

Make a wish!

The candle smoked pretty good after Todd blew it out, so Owen helped blow away the smoke.

Someone looks excited about seeing his Daddy open this present.

Score!  One of our favorite photographs enlarged to 24x36 went over well.  :)

Birthday cards from the kids are always fun.

Especially when filled with personal notes and drawings inside.

We think the Chloe Bean loves her Daddy so much.  Just look at all of those hearts and XOXOXO's.

Todd got a tennis mug for his coffee.

We had to get a few family shots on the stairs before Grandma Vicki and Aunt Kiki left for the evening.

The kids cooperated.  Separately.

There were many kisses.

We lucked out with one shot and everyone smiling.

And then it ended with silly hair and hugs good night.

As my husband and father of my children, you make me so proud and happy.  Thank you for being the loving, kind and fair man that you are.

Happy Birthday honeys, we all love you soooo much!
