We didn't have much of a plan for the first day, other than to just get to the Magic Kingdom. Before we even got out of the neighborhood, we saw these long legged cranes.
Disney really knows how to build up the suspense! Long stretches of highway lead to Disney. Then there is this initial welcome.
And then another to go through the toll plaza where you pay for parking.
The kids liked riding on the tram from the parking lot to the loading dock for either the Monorail or the ferry.
They wanted to ride the ferry boat and very patiently waited for it to arrive and pick us up.
Bean was soooo excited.
The kids wanted a picture with Daddy as we rode on the ferry boat across the pond and over to the Magic Kingdom.
Christmas garlands and wreathes galore welcomed us to Main Street at the Magic Kingdom.
Cinderella's castle was so humongous and beautiful. Wish Disney let people walk through it!
The kids had fun on Aladdin's Flying Carpets because they could control whether or not the carpet went up or down during the first half of the ride. There were also dragons that would randomly spit water at us as we flew by....this elicited lots of giggles from the girl child.
She loved having the wind in her hair and flying so fast on the ride.
I liked this!
This was in the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse which I thought was majorly cool. It reminded me of how much I loved the movie when I was growing up and how I always imagined what it would be like to live in such a large treehouse. The kids were less than impressed and ready to get through it so we could go on other rides.
Owen asked me to take this picture of him after he hopped up on a ledge next to some picnic tables where we ate cookie ice cream sandwiches and funnel cakes. Disney makes sure there is food available every where you turn!
