Love

Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy.
That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business.
What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can.

Owen and Chloe Photo Shoot!

We had picked out special clothes for this a few weeks ago (before we even left for our spring break vacation at karate camp and our roadtrip to Florida).  The kids were excited to dress up and get to play with balloons like the kids I photograph in other families.

I don't know what is up with Chloe, but she has pulled out these hand to heart and/or cheek poses for me lately.

My wild eyed girl.

She loves to be silly.

My boy was happy to give me nice smiles.

And didn't hesitate to be all relaxed while photographing.

They both wanted to blow out dandelions for me, although Chloe got into it more than Owen.

I was amused at the crossed-eyes while making wishes.

Look at all those little dandelion bits!

After blowing out dandelions, we moved to the quilt for photographs.

Shooting individually.

Then together.

We started in on pics with Daddy and then Dylan chewed through his leash and took off running (he was just a few days into his heartworm treatment and it was extremely important he not run or exercise because his heart rate needed to stay low).

But run he did.  He ran and ran, the length of several football fields.  Todd took off after him.  I couldn't run much because I was wearing flip flops.  I did get these pics of the kids tearing around the field and flinging Dylan's leash like a lasso before we headed around to the opposite side of the school to try to cut Dylan off on the other side.

It was just some added excitement for the kids, but the parents were majorly worried that Dylan was going to kill himself running and pumping disintegrating heartworm bits out into his bloodstream.  Dylan finally stopped and let Todd grab his collar to walk back.  After that, Dylan hung out in the car while we finished our photoshoot. I love how the photographs turned out with Todd and the kids!

At the very end, we pulled out the balloons.

There were disagreements about holding hands.

Snippy comments were made.  And a photographer lost her cool at one point, asking why other people's kids have no problem listening and behaving.

But overall, the kids had fun and mom got her pictures taken.

Owen wanted to release his balloons while being photographed.  And that was fun.

Until a keeper escaped.

He made a valiant effort jumping and reaching to catch the escapee.

There were tears of disappointment and my heart melted for this boy as he crumbled and lost his cool over this one balloon he wanted to keep.

As the balloon approached 20 feet, he gave up and trudged over to me for hugs.  He was so sad.

Once the tears had stopped, Chloe was ready to release her balloons.

And then, she decided to release just one at take the other two home.  Because little sisters are good at rubbing differences in the noses of their older brothers.
