Love

Our job is to love others without stopping to inquire whether or not they are worthy.
That is not our business and, in fact, it is nobody's business.
What we are asked to do is to love, and this love itself will render both ourselves and our neighbors worthy if anything can.

Owen's Half Birthday Celebration

After Aunt Judy came to visit after Christmas, we talked more about half birthdays (because she has apparently always celebrated her half birthdays, not that I have any recollection of this!) and the kids liked that idea.  After we arrived in Arizona, we realized that Owen's half birthday would fall on St. Patrick's Day.  So we decided on a dinner, invited Uncle Mike and Aunt Gail over and sang Happy Half Birthday to Owen before cutting into the all green cake that he requested.

Owen was thrilled he was allowed to help cut the cake AND lick the knife.

Chloe wanted her cake in a bowl because, well, she's Chloe. :)

Aunt Gail brought presents for both kids.  Score!

Both kids were surprised and excited because they had asked if they would get presents for their Half Birthdays like they do for their REAL birthdays.  The answer to that was a "Negative.  Sorry dude, presents are for the real thing."

Pool toys!

A blow-up basketball hoop!

Aunt Gail totally ROCKS!!!

Slam dunk!

And the crowd goes wild....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
